Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience
  • 0 years experience for level 1 or 2 years for level 2
  • U.S. citizen
  • Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain SCI required at time of application
  • Ability to work within a group of diversified individuals
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills
  • Willingness and ability to support a 24/7 environment while working day/night 12 hour shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience
  • Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain SCI
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well within a diverse group to achieve mission success
  • Willingness and ability to support 24/7 environment including day/night 12 hour shifts
  • Prior experience in on-orbit mission operations and anomaly resolution preferred
  • Experience writing technical documents for external customers
  • Leadership experience within engineering or operations teams
  • Experience working within government systems or government process environments
  • Experience with at least one spacecraft subsystem such as ADCS, CDH, COMM, EPDS, Thermal, or FSW
  • Experience in ground system updates or maintenance
  • Experience with Tactical Space Systems bus product lines and ground software products preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide mission operations support to satellite programs including flight control
  • Support system maintenance activities such as procedure updates, architecture upkeep, and formal program milestones
  • Work with systems engineers to conduct anomaly review board investigations as necessary
  • Conduct testing using simulators and resolve discrepancies
  • Develop and test command procedures, telemetry pages, and other products derived from vendor provided documentation
  • Support operations readiness activities including configuration control board and other customer meetings
  • Support operations, including shift work 12 hour and night shifts
  • Monitor vehicle state of health across all subsystems and perform short and long-term telemetry trending
  • Track space vehicle configuration including hardware, software, and configurable item parameters
  • Modify existing operations procedures to incorporate lessons learned
  • Provide status reporting through functional and program reporting branches
  • Maintain standards associated with the established Integrated/Developmental Operations functional group processes
  • Support internal and external customer meetings through verbal and documented communications
  • Travel approximately 10% for customer or backup mission operations center support
