Job Requirements
- 21 years of age or older at time of application
- high school graduate or GED
- must be able to speak in a clear, concise, and organized manner loudly enough to be heard in an emergency
- ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently
- must be able to read and speak Hebrew fluently
- ability to hear all types and ranges of sound
- ability to effectively communicate in high-stress situations
- professional appearance and excellent grooming standards
- must not have tattoos on head, hands, or neck including behind the ear
- visible tattoos must be smaller than a credit card or covered with uniform pieces
- decorative mouth adornments are not permitted
- ability to proficiently operate electronic devices
- must possess a valid passport with at least 18 months remaining validity
- ability to travel to and from all countries served by United without restrictions
- ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, stoop, stretch, reach, lift heavy objects up to 250 lbs
- ability to pass a functional reach assessment
- ability to sit in assigned jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness
- required to serve and/or sell food and beverages including alcohol professionally
- legally authorized to work in the United States
- willingness to work a flexible schedule supporting 24/7 operations
- pass pre-employment DOT drug screen and background checks
- pass FAA hearing and vision requirements
Job Qualifications
- 21 years of age or older at time of application
- high school graduate or GED
- two or more years of college preferred
- at least one year of customer service experience in the service industry such as retail, hospitality, food, teaching, aviation, or social service
- ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently
- must be able to speak in a clear, concise, and organized manner loudly enough to be heard in an emergency
- must be able to read and speak Hebrew fluently
- professional appearance and grooming consistent with United Airlines standards
- ability to proficiently operate electronic devices such as phones, tablets, and laptops
- must possess a valid passport with at least 18 months of remaining validity
- legally authorized to work in the United States
- willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and nights
