Job Requirements

  • 21 years of age or older at time of application
  • high school graduate or GED
  • must be able to speak in a clear, concise, and organized manner loudly enough to be heard in an emergency
  • ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently
  • must be able to read and speak Hebrew fluently
  • ability to hear all types and ranges of sound
  • ability to effectively communicate in high-stress situations
  • professional appearance and excellent grooming standards
  • must not have tattoos on head, hands, or neck including behind the ear
  • visible tattoos must be smaller than a credit card or covered with uniform pieces
  • decorative mouth adornments are not permitted
  • ability to proficiently operate electronic devices
  • must possess a valid passport with at least 18 months remaining validity
  • ability to travel to and from all countries served by United without restrictions
  • ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, stoop, stretch, reach, lift heavy objects up to 250 lbs
  • ability to pass a functional reach assessment
  • ability to sit in assigned jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness
  • required to serve and/or sell food and beverages including alcohol professionally
  • legally authorized to work in the United States
  • willingness to work a flexible schedule supporting 24/7 operations
  • pass pre-employment DOT drug screen and background checks
  • pass FAA hearing and vision requirements

Job Qualifications

  • 21 years of age or older at time of application
  • high school graduate or GED
  • two or more years of college preferred
  • at least one year of customer service experience in the service industry such as retail, hospitality, food, teaching, aviation, or social service
  • ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently
  • must be able to speak in a clear, concise, and organized manner loudly enough to be heard in an emergency
  • must be able to read and speak Hebrew fluently
  • professional appearance and grooming consistent with United Airlines standards
  • ability to proficiently operate electronic devices such as phones, tablets, and laptops
  • must possess a valid passport with at least 18 months of remaining validity
  • legally authorized to work in the United States
  • willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and nights
