Job Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to meet hearing and vision requirements as established by FAA and United Airlines
- Ability to pass pre-employment and randomized DOT/FAA drug screenings
- Must successfully complete background checks, fingerprinting, and vision/hearing tests
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule supporting 24/7 operations
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, stoop, stretch, reach, lift up to 250 pounds, and operate emergency equipment
- Professional appearance and adherence to tattoo and piercing guidelines
- Ability to travel globally without restrictions
- Ability to communicate effectively in high-stress situations
- Must possess a valid passport with at least 18 months of remaining validity
- Completion of evacuation drill in water during training
- Must comply with safety-sensitive position regulations including prohibition on marijuana use
Job Qualifications
- 21 years of age or older at time of application
- High school graduate or GED
- Two or more years of college preferred
- At least one year of customer service experience in retail, hospitality, food, teaching, education, aviation, or social service
- Ability to speak clearly and loudly in emergency situations
- Fluency in English and Greek
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in operating electronic devices such as phones, tablets, and laptops
- Valid U.S. passport or foreign passport with applicable visas and eligibility to travel globally without restrictions
Job Duties
- Ensure the highest levels of safety during all phases of flight
- Demonstrate and enforce safety protocols and emergency procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service with a positive and adaptable demeanor
- Engage directly with customers to resolve issues empathetically and efficiently
- Work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, holidays, and be available for reserve assignments
- Maintain professional grooming standards and comply with uniform policies
- Operate and manage in-flight equipment and service carts safely and efficiently
