Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of customer or community service experience
- Able to reach 82 vertical inches without shoes
- Comfortable swimming with life vest during emergency training
- Able to properly secure in jump seat without seat belt extension
- Able to move quickly through cabin aisle in emergencies
- Able to work in varying climatic and gravitational conditions
- Able to stand for 4-17 hours and perform physical tasks
- Able to lift 35 pounds
- Willing and able to serve alcohol
- Basic technology skills to operate mobile devices
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively and work varied shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
- US citizen or registered alien authorized to work in the US
- Must possess or be able to obtain a current valid US or non-US passport with proper legal documents
- Travel documents must be valid throughout training and employment
- Must pass drug test and background check
- Current employees must be in good standing and have minimum one year tenure in current job
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of customer service or community service experience
- Ability to reach 82 vertical inches without wearing shoes
- Comfortable being in a swimming pool with a life vest during emergency training and in water during an inflight emergency
- Ability to properly secure oneself in a jump seat with harness without using a seat belt extension
- Ability to expeditiously move through the cabin aisle in emergency and non-emergency situations
- Ability to work in varying climatic conditions and withstand positive and negative gravitational forces
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as stooping, twisting, pulling and pushing
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
- Willingness to serve alcohol
- Basic technology skills for mobile device navigation
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively and work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
- US citizenship or registered alien status with legal work authorization
- Possession of a current valid U.S. or applicable non-U.S. passport with necessary documentation
- Ability to read, write and speak proficiently in English
- Completion of pre-employment drug test and background check
- Current employees must be in good standing and have at least one year in their current role
Job Duties
- Own safety: understand and comply with all safety regulations, ensure all safety equipment on aircraft is in working order and conduct emergency procedures as needed
- Support the safety and security of oneself and other crewmembers while in-flight, in airport terminals and during layovers while away from home
- Calmly resolve passenger situations during flight, including emergency situations
- Do the right thing: understand company policies and procedures to complete all onboard duties for the position assigned
- Be empowered to know when to make exceptions to make things right for guests
- Be kind-hearted: create an exceptional and inclusive experience for guests and fellow employees by demonstrating empathy and compassion
- Deliver performance: always focus on safe on time performance
- Be proficient in utilizing an Inflight Mobile Device (IMD) to complete onboard duties, service flow and elite guest recognition
- Be remarkable: conduct oneself as a brand ambassador while at work, whenever in uniform and on social media
