Job Requirements
- must have high school diploma or equivalent
- two years of customer service or community service experience
- able to reach 82 vertical inches without shoes
- comfortable swimming during safety training
- able to secure self in jump seat without seat belt extension
- able to move quickly through cabin aisles
- able to work under varying climatic and pressure conditions
- able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks
- able to lift 35lbs
- willing and able to serve alcohol
- basic technology skills
- willing to travel extensively and work flexible schedules
- us citizen or registered alien with legal employment rights
- possession or ability to obtain valid passport and supporting travel documents
- travel documents must remain valid throughout training and employment
- must be 21 years or older at application
- proficient in English
- able to complete drug test and background check
- current employees must be in good standing with company for at least one year
- able to attend unpaid intensive training in Seattle or Honolulu depending on airline
- meet specific uniform and appearance standards per airline
- able to relocate or work from multiple base locations
- must pass tuberculosis test (Hawaiian airline specific)
- willing to comply with union policies and Department of Transportation regulations
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- two years of customer service or community service experience
- able to reach 82 vertical inches without shoes
- comfortable in swimming pool with life vest and in water during emergency training
- able to secure oneself in a jump seat with harness without seat belt extension
- able to move quickly through cabin aisles in emergency and non-emergency situations
- able to work in varying climatic conditions with turbulence and cabin pressurization
- able to stand for up to seventeen hours and perform physical tasks including stooping, twisting, lifting up to 35lbs
- willing and able to serve alcohol
- basic technology skills to navigate mobile device tools
- ability and willingness to travel extensively and work varied schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- US citizen or registered alien legally allowed to work in the US
- possession or ability to obtain a current passport with required legal documentation
- ability to maintain valid travel documents throughout training and employment
- at least 21 years old at application time
- proficient English reading, writing, and speaking skills
- ability to complete pre-employment drug testing and background check
- current employees must be in good standing and have been in their role for at least one year
Job Duties
- own safety by understanding and complying with all safety regulations and conducting emergency procedures as needed
- support the safety and security of oneself and other crewmembers in-flight, in airport terminals, and during layovers
- calmly resolve passenger situations during flight including emergencies
- understand company policies and procedures to complete all onboard duties and make exceptions when necessary to satisfy guests
- create an exceptional and inclusive experience for guests and fellow employees by demonstrating empathy and compassion
- focus on safe and on-time performance utilizing inflight mobile device to complete service flow and elite guest recognition
- act as a brand ambassador by representing the company with pride and integrity at all times
