Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- at least two years of customer service experience
- must be 20 years of age by the date of the first interview
- must have a wingspan of approximately 55 inches or greater
- must be able to sit in the flight attendant jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without modification
- must not have multiple visible piercings while in uniform
- tattoos not permitted on the face, neck, or hands and must not be visible in uniform
- must possess physical strength to operate emergency equipment and lift items up to 70 pounds
- must be able to push and pull carts weighing over 250 pounds
- must be able to assist passengers with carry-on baggage weighing up to 35 pounds
- must be willing to serve alcoholic beverages
- must be able to serve and handle peanuts and meals containing shellfish, seafood, beef, and pork
- able to work extended duty periods on sequential days
- able to work varied schedules including early mornings, nights, overnights, and weekends
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- at least two years of customer service experience
- polished interpersonal skills with a positive and customer-oriented mindset
- ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures and government regulations
- ability to effectively communicate with management, crew, passengers, and the public
- ability to speak and be understood in English including during emergency situations
- capable of working in a time-sensitive environment under stress
- ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, and schedule instructions
- ability to remain calm and react quickly in emergencies
- makes day to day decisions supporting operations
- capable of controlling emotional responses under high stress
- able to work in a culturally diverse environment and interact professionally
- willing to serve alcoholic beverages and handle various food allergens including shellfish, seafood, beef, and pork
- must meet physical and appearance standards as per company policies
Job Duties
- Performs all regulatory and assigned cabin duties with constant attention to guests while providing a safe and comfortable onboard experience
- maintains thorough knowledge of all emergency procedures and the use of all emergency equipment on board the aircraft
- operates all emergency exits and aircraft equipment using necessary movements and force up to 70 pounds
- provides food and beverages to passengers pushing and pulling moveable carts weighing in excess of 250 pounds
- assists passengers in stowing carry-on baggage weighing up to 35 pounds
- maintains a neat and orderly cabin environment
- contributes to a reliable and on-time operation by working with crewmembers to meet all report, departure, and minimum turn times
