Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least two years of customer service experience
  • Must be 20 years of age by the date of the first interview
  • Polished interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and customer-oriented mindset
  • Must be willing to serve alcoholic beverages
  • Must be able and willing to serve and handle peanuts, meals containing shellfish, seafood, beef and pork
  • Able to work with animals and around other allergens and products
  • Tattoos not permitted on face, neck, and hands visible while in uniform in accordance with dress code
  • Must have a wingspan of approximately 55 inches or greater
  • Must be able to sit in flight attendant jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without modification
  • Must not have multiple visible piercings while in uniform
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations
  • Able to effectively present information to management, crew, passengers, and public
  • Able to speak and be understood in English including shouted commands during emergency
  • Willing to work in a time-sensitive environment and manage stress
  • Capable of interpreting multiple instructions furnished in various forms
  • Ability to remain calm and react quickly in emergency situations including medical emergencies, evacuations, fires, turbulence
  • Makes structured day to day decisions
  • Able to respond appropriately under unexpected or serious situations
  • Controls personal and emotional responses under high stress
  • Physical strength to operate emergency equipment using necessary force up to 70 pounds
  • Capable of lifting objects above shoulders up to 35 pounds
  • Able to push and pull carts weighing more than 250 pounds
  • Able to walk, stand for extended periods, sometimes with turbulence
  • Able to stoop, crouch, squat, climb and kneel
  • Clear vision at 20 feet or more with corrective lenses
  • Clear hearing over airplane communication with ambient noise
  • Able to move freely and quickly in confined aircraft environment
  • Able to work extended duty periods on sequential days
  • Willing and able to work in culturally diverse environment
  • Able to accommodate customers’ special needs and disabilities
  • Willing and able to work varied schedule including early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays
  • Willing to travel up to 100% including nights, weekends, holidays, overnight
  • Willing to relocate based on company operational needs

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least two years of customer service experience
  • Additional years of customer service experience preferably in an aviation environment
  • Previous flight attendant experience
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations
  • Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, crew, passengers and the general public
  • Able to speak and be understood in English including shouted commands during emergencies
  • Willingness to work in a time-sensitive environment and handle stress
  • Capable of interpreting multiple instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to remain calm and react quickly in all emergency situations
  • Makes day to day operational decisions
  • Able to process information quickly and act appropriately under stress
  • Capable of controlling personal and emotional responses under high stress

Job Duties

  • Performs all regulatory and assigned cabin duties with constant attention to guests while providing a safe and comfortable onboard experience
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of all emergency procedures and the use of all emergency equipment on board the aircraft
  • Operates all emergency exits and aircraft equipment using necessary movements and force up to 70 pounds
  • Provides food and beverages to passengers requiring pushing and pulling moveable carts weighing in excess of 250 pounds
  • Assists passengers in stowing carry-on baggage weighing up to 35 pounds
  • Maintains a neat and orderly cabin environment
  • Contributes to a reliable and on-time operation by working with crewmembers to meet all report, departure, and minimum turn times
  • Performs inflight sales and promotional duties as assigned
  • Assists other customer service staff as needed with passenger handling or other duties
  • Maintains reliable and prompt attendance according to company policies
  • Presents a professional image in conduct and appearance adhering to the company uniform dress code
  • Complies with associate rules of conduct outlined in all applicable manuals
  • Maintains currency of inflight guides and manuals
  • Fosters the company’s core values and culture throughout the work environment
  • Performs additional duties as assigned or required
