Job Requirements
- Must be 20 years of age by the date of the first interview
- High school diploma or GED
- At least two years of customer service experience
- Must be willing to serve alcoholic beverages
- Must be able and willing to serve and handle peanuts, meals containing shellfish, seafood, beef, and pork
- Must be able to work with animals and allergens
- Must possess polished interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and a customer-oriented mindset
- Must have a wingspan of approximately 55 inches or greater to operate all necessary aircraft equipment
- Must be able to sit in the flight attendant jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without extender or modification
- Tattoos not permitted on face, neck, and hands
- Must not have multiple visible piercings while in uniform
- Must be able to lift and operate emergency equipment with force up to 70 pounds
- Must be able to push and pull moveable carts over 250 pounds
- Must be able to lift carry-on baggage up to 35 pounds
- Must have reliable and prompt attendance
- Able to work a varied schedule including early mornings, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays
- Willing to relocate based on company operational needs
- Must be able to move freely and perform all functions quickly in confined environments
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least two years of customer service experience
- Polished interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and customer-oriented mindset
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations
- Able to effectively communicate with management, crew, passengers, and the general public
- Able to speak and be understood in English, including shouting verbal commands during emergencies
- Willingness to serve alcoholic beverages
- Ability to work with allergens including peanuts, shellfish, seafood, beef, and pork
- Ability to work with animals and other allergens
- Ability to work extended duty periods on sequential days
- Ability to remain calm and react quickly in emergency situations
- Ability to control emotional responses and act appropriately under stress
- Adherence to company’s dress code and appearance standards including tattoo and piercing policies
- Ability to sit in the Flight Attendant jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without modification
- Preferred additional years of customer service experience, preferably in an aviation environment
- Previous flight attendant experience
Job Duties
- Performs all regulatory and assigned cabin duties with constant attention to guests while providing a safe and comfortable onboard experience
- Maintains thorough knowledge of all emergency procedures and use of emergency equipment on board the aircraft
- Provides food and beverages to passengers, requiring pushing and pulling moveable carts weighing over 250 pounds
- Assists passengers in stowing carry-on baggage weighing up to 35 pounds
- Maintains a neat and orderly cabin environment
- Collaborates with crewmembers to ensure on-time operations and meet report, departure, and turnaround times
- Performs inflight sales and promotional duties as assigned
- Assists other customer service staff as needed with passenger handling or other duties
- Maintains reliable and prompt attendance according to company policies
- Presents a professional image in conduct and appearance, adhering to the company uniform dress code
- Complies with associate rules of conduct as outlined in applicable manuals
- Maintains currency of inflight guides and manuals
- Fosters the company’s core values and culture throughout the work environment
- Performs additional duties as assigned or required
