Job Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age at time of application
  • Ability to acquire and keep current a passport and travel documents with minimum 30 months validity before first day of training
  • Complete pre-employment Department of Transportation drug test and background check
  • Ability to sit in assigned jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened
  • Ability to open emergency exits and close aircraft doors weighing up to 60 pounds
  • Ability to push or pull food/beverage carts requiring 32 pounds of force
  • Ability to retrieve and store items in overhead bins up to 74 inches high
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours
  • Ability to attend and complete 7 consecutive weeks of paid training in Atlanta, GA
  • Willingness to accept assignment to any flight attendant base as dictated by needs
  • Ability to work in physically demanding role including frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, reaching, and lifting
  • Must adhere to Delta's Candidate Appearance Requirements and Flight Attendant Appearance Requirements after training
  • Adherence to Delta Air Lines Flight Attendant Application Policy

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or High School Equivalency
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Completion of a degree beyond high school or GED preferred
  • Demonstrated communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to adapt and solve problems in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Prioritize the safety and comfort of all passengers
  • Deliver exceptional customer service
  • Use problem solving and communication skills to respond to in-flight needs
  • Represent Delta's values with every interaction
  • Support non-traditional business hours including early mornings, late nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays
  • Practice safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes
  • Administer and coordinate emergency procedures including CPR and basic first aid when needed
