Job Requirements

  • Candidate height must not exceed 5'11" or 71.5 inches without shoes
  • Ability to reach a minimum of 6'3" or 76 inches without shoes
  • Sit in an assigned jumpseat with seatbelt and shoulder harness without extension
  • Open emergency exits and close doors weighing up to 45 pounds
  • Push, pull, or move beverage carts requiring 32 pounds of force
  • Hear and respond in high noise environments
  • Work in aircraft aisles, galleys
  • stand, reach, walk, kneel, bend, twist, work in cramped positions
  • Sit or stand for long periods
  • Reach into overhead bins and retrieve items
  • Willingness to work in confined spaces managing allergens like nuts, perfumes, solvents, fumes, animals, pet dander
  • Serve meals with various food types including beef, pork and seafood

Job Qualifications

  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to report to work at your assigned base within 2 hours (2.5 hours for NYC bases)
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • BA/BS college degree preferred or combination of education and related experience
  • Fluent in English speaking, reading, writing and understanding
  • Minimum age of 21 years
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Possess and maintain a valid passport and equivalent travel documents
  • Meet established standards, policies, laws and regulations including FAA regulations
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Minimum of one year customer service experience
  • Ability to maintain high personal decorum, professional conduct and appearance
  • Compliance with professional appearance guidelines
  • No tattoos on hands or fingers
  • Ability to cover non-hand/finger tattoos
  • Limited earrings and nose piercing as per policy
  • Familiarity with mobile devices
  • Successful completion of four weeks of Flight Attendant Initial Training including virtual and in-person sessions
  • Successful completion of Initial Operating Experience (IOE)

Job Duties

  • Ensure the safety and comfort of customers by providing every customer with the very best service on our aircraft
  • Project and maintain a positive attitude and composure
  • Perform all work activities in accordance with established standards, policies, laws, and regulations, including Federal Aviation Administration regulations
  • Respond effectively during emergency situations
  • Provide emergency medical assistance such as performing CPR and basic first aid
  • Prepare and serve meals, snacks, and beverages as well as process payments for purchased items
  • Provide customer service assistance including lifting, transporting, and stowing luggage
  • Answer customers' questions and offer assistance to unaccompanied minors, elderly, and individuals with special needs
  • Make public address announcements, perform safety demonstrations, and provide timely informational updates
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, and safety guidance
  • Work independently and as part of a team to complete work assignments
  • Manage time effectively to maintain punctuality
  • Adapt to changing work conditions such as schedule changes
  • Use mobile handheld devices and computers to communicate and perform tasks
  • Complete paperwork and detailed incident reports
