Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- demonstrated dispatch experience with 911 public safety, EMS agency or Health Unit Coordinator, experience in a hospital environment
- intermediate computer proficiency
- typing speed minimum 40 wpm

- intermediate computer proficiency
- typing speed minimum 40 wpm
- one year dispatch experience with 911 public safety, EMS agency, Health Unit Coordinator, or other experience in a hospital environment
- demonstrated experience working in a clinical setting such as medical assistant, CNA, technician, EMT or paramedic
- ability to perform complex tasks, prioritize multiple requests and manage patient transport in a fast-paced environment
- excellent customer service skills
- strong verbal and written communication
- basic medical terminology
- previous experience with FAA, FCC, CAMTS regulations and requirements in a medical transport communications center environment
Job Duties
- Receives incoming patient transport requests in a hospital or pre-hospital setting
- coordinates the closest, safest, and most appropriate asset for transport, while following all appropriate guidelines, policies, and protocols
- facilitates positive relationships with referring and receiving facilities to ensure a safe, coordinated, and expeditious response for emergency services
- demonstrates a clear understanding of policies and procedures and executes them as necessary
- ensures accuracy and completion of transport documentation
- participates in continuing education and required certification
- participates in system-wide quality improvement efforts to continuously review, evaluate and revise processes for continued improvement
