Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid Class A CDL license
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card
- Minimum 1 year tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years or 2 years in the last 5 years
- Clean driving record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents in the last 3 years
- Proficiency in English to comply with federal law
- Willingness to travel regionally up to 100 percent
- Ability to pass background and drug screening
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs frequently and occasionally up to 100lbs
- Ability to operate motor vehicle safely and enter/exit vehicle and cargo area frequently
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL required
- Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
- Currently hold or ability to obtain a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
- 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years or 2 years in the last 5 years
- 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
- English language proficiency required
- Ability to complete background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safely
- Ability to accept responsibility for own safety and safety of others
Job Duties
- Travel regionally to various locations as needed
- Perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships
- Unload trailer using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages
- Use scanner to scan products as they are unloaded and delivered
- Follow dispatch schedules which vary depending on assignment
- Be away from home for 1 to 3 weeks per assignment
- Drive late model, Penske maintained trucks equipped with safety features
