Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • 2 years experience in event management or related area
  • or 2-year degree from accredited university in related field
  • willingness to travel 100 percent
  • ability to work full time
  • strong organizational skills
  • effective communication abilities
  • proficiency in managing budgets and client relations

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED with 2 years event management experience
  • or 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field with no work experience required
  • ability to solve problems and suggest alternatives
  • strong customer service and communication skills
  • experience managing budgets and maximizing revenue
  • ability to lead meetings and coordinate teams
  • proficient in handling guest feedback and complaints

Job Duties

  • prepare all event documentation
  • coordinate with Sales, property departments and customers to ensure high level service
  • handle complex event management
  • lead pre-event and post-event meetings
  • manage customer budgets and room blocks
  • oversee customer experience from sales turnover to post-event
  • up-sell products and services during event process
