Job Requirements

- Proficiency in event documentation and coordination
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 2 years experience in event management or related field
- OR 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with no work experience required
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate effectively
- Experience in customer service excellence
- Leadership experience in event management teams
- Knowledge of sales and marketing processes related to events
Job Duties
- Ensures events progress seamlessly by following established procedures, collaborating with employees, and ensuring accuracy
- Greets customers during the event phase and transitions responsibilities to the Event Operations team
- Adheres to standards, policies, and procedures
- Ensures billing accuracy and reviews bills with clients prior to final processing
- Manages group room blocks and event space for assigned groups
- Identifies operational challenges and develops solutions with property staff and customers
- Acts as liaison between sales and customers throughout event phases
- Participates in customer site inspections and assists with sales process
- Solicits feedback from property departments to improve event planner experience
