Job Requirements

  • candidate must reside in Dallas/Fort Worth area
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years experience in event management or related field or 2-year relevant degree
  • ability to work remotely and travel as needed
  • strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • excellent customer service orientation
  • ability to collaborate with diverse teams
  • proficiency in event software tools
  • flexible schedule to accommodate varying event demands

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED with 2 years experience in event management or related area
  • or 2-year degree in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, or related major with no experience required
  • strong customer service skills
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • knowledge of event management processes and software
  • problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • leadership experience preferred
  • adaptability to travel and flexible work assignments

Job Duties

  • prepares event documentation and coordinates with sales and property departments
  • greets customers during events and hands off to operations team
  • ensures billing accuracy and conducts bill reviews with clients
  • manages group room blocks and meeting spaces
  • identifies operational challenges and collaborates on solutions
  • acts as liaison between sales and customers throughout the event process
  • participates in customer site inspections and assists sales process
  • delivers excellent customer service and empowers staff
  • coordinates and communicates event details
  • oversees customer experiences from sales turnover through post-event
  • follows up post-event and resolves guest complaints
  • conducts pre- and post-event meetings
  • facilitates banquet event order and block review meetings
  • assists in sales process and revenue forecasting
  • up-sells products and services
  • reviews guest satisfaction results and provides employee feedback
  • develops and implements corrective action plans
