Job Requirements
- candidate must reside in Dallas/Fort Worth area
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years experience in event management or related field or 2-year relevant degree
- ability to work remotely and travel as needed
- strong organizational and multitasking skills
- excellent customer service orientation
- ability to collaborate with diverse teams
- proficiency in event software tools
- flexible schedule to accommodate varying event demands
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED with 2 years experience in event management or related area
- or 2-year degree in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, or related major with no experience required
- strong customer service skills
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- knowledge of event management processes and software
- problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- leadership experience preferred
- adaptability to travel and flexible work assignments
Job Duties
- prepares event documentation and coordinates with sales and property departments
- greets customers during events and hands off to operations team
- ensures billing accuracy and conducts bill reviews with clients
- manages group room blocks and meeting spaces
- identifies operational challenges and collaborates on solutions
- acts as liaison between sales and customers throughout the event process
- participates in customer site inspections and assists sales process
- delivers excellent customer service and empowers staff
- coordinates and communicates event details
- oversees customer experiences from sales turnover through post-event
- follows up post-event and resolves guest complaints
- conducts pre- and post-event meetings
- facilitates banquet event order and block review meetings
- assists in sales process and revenue forecasting
- up-sells products and services
- reviews guest satisfaction results and provides employee feedback
- develops and implements corrective action plans
