Job Requirements
- high school diploma or ged
- 1-2 years of experience in event management or related professional area
- or 2-year degree from an accredited university in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, or related major
- at least 1 year experience in event management or related area
- ability to travel 100 percent
- strong organizational and communication skills
- proficiency in coordinating multiple stakeholders
- capacity to work full time
- ability to manage events of average complexity
- willingness to work remotely or in a hybrid environment

Job Duties
- preparing event documentation
- coordinating with sales, property departments, and customers
- managing group room blocks and meeting spaces
- ensuring billing accuracy and conducting client bill reviews
- serving as liaison between sales and customers throughout event phases
- leading pre-event and post-event meetings
- up-selling products and services
- forecasting event revenues
- delivering exceptional customer service
- addressing guest problems and complaints
- soliciting feedback to improve event experiences
- conducting formal team meetings
- facilitating operational discussions
- assisting in sales and revenue forecasting
- reviewing employee service behaviors
