Job Requirements
- current enrollment in a trades or vocational accredited program leading to a certificate, licensure, or associate degree or recent graduate within one year
- valid driver's license at time of application
- ability to pass an FBI criminal background check
- no substitution of experience for education
- physical ability to perform maintenance tasks
- willingness to work on-site at Denver International Airport
- availability up to 30 hours per week
- mandatory submission of resume and transcripts
Job Qualifications
- currently enrolled in a trades or vocational accredited program leading to a certificate, licensure, or associate degree
- recent graduate within one year of program completion
- ASE certification in automotive or medium/heavy truck a plus but not required
- valid driver's license at time of application
- ability to learn and follow safety protocols
- aptitude for technical repair tasks
- good communication skills
Job Duties
- inspect equipment brought to shop for structural integrity and safety issues
- conduct routine and annual inspections and perform preventive maintenance on all vehicles
- repair or replace worn parts not requiring major mechanical work
- identify and report major mechanical problems to supervisor
- inspect operating systems, hydraulic systems, and air systems
- maintain fluid levels, add fluids, and replace filters
- lubricate auxiliary attachments and moving parts
- replace air compressor filters and air lines
- remove, repair, and replace wheels and tires
- respond to emergency roadside service for tires and wheels
- provide vendor escorts for vehicle services and fleet deliveries
- replace sealed beam lighting units, light bulbs, light bars, and fuses
- operate vehicles and equipment to service and storage areas
- wash and steam clean equipment and maintain cleanliness of work area
- assist higher level technicians on routine and complex repair and maintenance tasks
- observe all common safety practices
- perform other duties as assigned
