Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • BS or BA in chemistry or related science preferred
  • strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • ability to handle multiple projects and work flexibly
  • good attendance and safety knowledge
  • strong mathematical and reasoning skills
  • ability to taste flavors and raw materials as needed

Job Duties

  • Prepare and compound flavor samples for customers, chemists, applications, QC, and regulatory teams in a timely and organized manner
  • operate and maintain specialized lab equipment, including homogenizers and spray dryers
  • collaborate with Flavorists to resolve formula differences and support development projects
  • maintain accurate records, prepare graphs and charts, and ensure all samples are properly documented
  • keep laboratory supplies stocked and maintain a clean, safe work environment
  • produce pilot batch orders for customers
  • adhere to all safety procedures, company policies, and regulatory requirements (FDA, USDA, EPA, DOT, OSHA)
  • participate in safety audits and training sessions
  • ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials
