Job Requirements

  • Must meet body weight requirement of 235 lbs
  • Must be able to pass pre-placement physical exam including functional capacity exam
  • Must pass drug screening and background check
  • Must have current Covid-19 vaccination
  • Tuberculosis screening required
  • Required vaccinations or positive titers for varicella, MMR, tetanus diphtheria, hepatitis B, and annual flu vaccination
  • Must live within 1 hour commute from the base

Job Qualifications

  • ATP airplane multi-engine land
  • First class medical certificate
  • Minimum 2,000 total airplane hours
  • Minimum 1,000 hours pilot-in-command time
  • Minimum 500 hours PIC in multi-engine airplanes
  • Minimum 100 night flying hours
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with Kansas City Children’s Mercy Program preferred
  • Successful interview and acceptance by PHI and customer management

Job Duties

  • Operate Lear Jet 31A as first officer in two-pilot crew
  • Conduct airplane air ambulance missions under CAMTS guidelines
  • Manage day and night 24-hour operations with shift rotations
  • Assist with loading and unloading patients and equipment
  • Comply with company policies and safety management systems
  • Participate in community outreach programs
  • Provide safe, efficient, courteous, and reliable service
