Job Requirements

  • Meet body weight requirement of 235 lbs
  • pass pre-placement physical exam including functional capacity exam
  • able to lift 100 pounds
  • pass drug screening and background check
  • COVID-19 vaccination required
  • tuberculosis screening
  • up-to-date vaccinations including Varivax, MMR, tetanus-diphtheria-pertussis, hepatitis B, and annual flu vaccination
  • live within one-hour commute of base
  • minimum service requirement of one year if aircraft transition required
  • two-year minimum service if relocation package used

Job Qualifications

  • Current and qualified on VE7A certificate
  • ATP airplane multi-engine land certification
  • first-class medical certificate
  • CAMTS requirements including 2,000 total airplane hours and 1,000 hours PIC multi-engine
  • 500 hours as PIC in multi-engine airplanes
  • 100 night flight hours
  • strong communication skills
  • experience in internal and external customer service
  • interview and acceptance by PHI management

Job Duties

  • Fly Pilatus PC-24 as pilot-in-command under IFR conditions
  • operate in a two-pilot crew environment
  • conduct 24-hour air ambulance missions on a day/night rotation
  • assist with loading and unloading patients and medical equipment
  • participate in community outreach programs
  • comply with PHI Air Medical policies and safety procedures
  • support the Safety Management System and Destination Zero safety campaigns
