Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or associate degree in exercise science or related field
  • two to three years of fitness experience
  • accredited certification in personal training required
  • industry certifications may include ACE, ACSM, AEA, AFAA, or NASM
  • current CPR certification
  • water safety training preferred if pool on site
  • aqua certification preferred if pool on site

Job Duties

  • Develop, implement, and lead fitness programs to include at least two functional levels in independent living and including higher levels of living in the Community
  • conduct annual mobility reviews
  • document resident participation, analyze and measure fitness program success levels
  • assist in developing policies for fitness programs
  • promote fitness center, fitness programs and special events using various communication methods available at the Community
  • provide regular orientation for effective use of fitness equipment
  • ensure fitness equipment is safe and in proper working condition
  • assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing Community programs as assigned by the Director of Lifestyle
  • assist in organizing resident group trips and activities
