Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to work weekdays from 8 am to 5 pm
  • ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods
  • reliable and punctual
  • basic understanding of cleaning techniques
  • willingness to work under the supervision of management

Job Qualifications

  • Previous cleaning experience preferred
  • knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • ability to follow safety procedures
  • strong attention to detail
  • good physical stamina
  • ability to work independently
  • good communication skills

Job Duties

  • Clean outside glass
  • wipe down equipment, doors, and floors as necessary
  • empty trash receptacles daily
  • sweep and mop floors, stairwells, staircases
  • clean carpets and floors as needed
  • change light bulbs as necessary
  • clean all fitness equipment, bathrooms (tile, tub, walls, and sink), mirrors and glass
  • dust furniture and fixtures daily
  • clean the management office daily
  • mop and sweep lobby floors
  • clean the locker room (sweep, mop, trash removal, dust, clean out lint)
  • buff locker/lobby room floor
  • maintain and organize mops, brooms, vacuum cleaners, and other equipment/supplies in good condition in designated storage areas
  • pick up debris on carpet and vacuum carpet
  • replace or add required supplies in locker rooms
  • stock carts with linens and supplies and organize carts as trained and required
  • clean vacuum cleaner bags or canisters daily
  • report maintenance problems in an accurate and timely matter
