Job Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Minimum 2 years of cashiering experience
  • 1 -2 years of experience in the food industry, particularly in fish cutting or meat cutting
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience
  • Familiarity with various types of fish, meats, and their specific handling requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills with ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Exceptional communication skills with ability to speak English clearly and coherently
  • Committed, trustworthy, and with a strong work ethic
  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety in food production
  • Ability to frequently stand and walk for an eight-hour shift
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
  • Basic math skills are essential
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Job Duties

  • Exhibit a cheerful and helpful manner while greeting guests and preparing their orders
  • Prepare and assemble to-go and dine-in options from the raw bar, starters, salads, poke sections of the menu as well as market ready fish, oysters, and shellfish
  • Demonstrate a complete understanding of menu items and explain them to guests accurately
  • Serve guests and diners food offerings and alcohol with friendly attentiveness
  • Use Point of Sale system and cash register to accurately record orders and compute the amount of the bill
  • Accurately collect payment from guests and follow proper cash-handling protocols
  • Restock food, supplies, and maintain cleanliness of the restaurant
  • Understand and adhere to proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards during food preparation, service, and clean-up
  • Clean and maintain all areas of the restaurant to promote a clean image
