Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • At least four years of cooking or comparable work experience preferred
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Computer proficiency
  • Ability to work evening shifts
  • Ability to follow strict food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Good interpersonal skills to collaborate with leadership and team members

Job Duties

  • Accurately assemble trays according to prescribed diets in a timely manner
  • Accurately prepare food items according to standard production orders and/or recipes and complete frozen food production orders as assigned
  • Demonstrate standard procedures for preparing meals for service
  • Properly process diet orders and menus
  • Run all required reports from nutrition software
  • Prepare food inventory and requisitions in an accurate and clear manner
  • Accurately follow instructions and guidelines for the proper storage of food and supplies
  • Properly operate, sanitize, and maintain equipment in the work area
  • Demonstrate the correct services in cleaning and dish-washing procedures
  • Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner
  • Comply with policies and adapt to change in the unit as required
