Job Requirements
- Four or more years of related work experience
- ServeSafe certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days
- availability to work shifts between 5:30am and 8:00pm Sunday through Saturday
- ability to perform advanced cooking duties
- ability to follow HACCP policies
- capability to clean and sanitize kitchen equipment
- able to lift and move food supplies
- willingness to assist in supervising kitchen personnel
- knowledge of kitchen safety and hygiene
- ability to use production software
- high school diploma or GED preferred
Job Qualifications
- Four or more years of related work experience
- high school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred
- knowledge of basic operation of kitchen equipment
- familiarity with cash-handling procedures preferred
- ServeSafe certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days
- advanced knife skills
- ability to follow complex recipes and cooking techniques
- experience in supervising and training kitchen staff
- ability to plan and manage production inventory
- strong customer service skills
- ability to comply with regulatory and safety standards
Job Duties
- Prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte station
- operate kitchen equipment to measure and mix ingredients, wash, peel, cut, and shred fruits and vegetables
- trim and cut meat, poultry, or fish for culinary use
- provide high-quality service to customers at all times
- taste products, read menus, estimate food requirements, check production, and keep records to plan production and requisition supplies
- clean and sanitize workstations and equipment following regulatory rules and procedures
- comply with HACCP policies and procedures
- participate in safety meetings, training and hazard assessments
- produce food using advanced cooking, plating and garnishing techniques
- follow complex recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving foods
- assist with supervision and training of kitchen personnel
- select recipes per menu cycle, prepare bakery items, receive and manage inventory, move and lift foodstuffs and supplies
- serve as lead cook assisting in training less experienced cooks
- independently perform advanced cooking duties under minimal supervision
- demonstrate advanced knife skills
- oversee production staff and assign tasks
- use production software to enter production data
- take and enter inventory
- perform other assigned duties and responsibilities
