Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, certificate, or GED
  • Minimum three years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of sanitation and food safety principles
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes and production charts
  • Strong communication skills
  • Food Safety Certification within six months of hire

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, certificate, GED, training, or experience required
  • Knowledge of principles of sanitation and safety in food handling and equipment
  • Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • 1 year of trade school or vocational schooling preferred
  • Food Safety Certification required within 6 months of hire

Job Duties

  • Oversees and supports preparation and production of food for patient and guest meals
  • Ensures department goals and objectives are met
  • Follows standardized recipes, daily production charts, and instructions
  • Ensures food quality, quantity, nutrition, appearance, temperature, and timeliness
  • Adheres to HACCP procedures
  • Uses food preparation equipment, utensils, and measuring devices appropriately
  • Maintains safety and sanitation standards in food handling
