Job Requirements
- Three years of relevant experience
- food safety certification required within six months of hire
- knowledge of sanitation and safety principles in food handling
- ability to follow standardized recipes and production instructions
- ability to use food preparation equipment and measuring devices correctly
- effective communication skills
- high school diploma, certificate, GED, or equivalent training or experience
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, certificate, GED, training or experience required
- knowledge in principles of sanitation and safety in food handling and equipment
- proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- one year of trade school or vocational schooling preferred
- food safety certification required within six months of hire
Job Duties
- Oversee and support the preparation and production of food for patient and guest meals
- ensure department goals and objectives are met
- follow standardized recipes, daily production charts, and instructions
- ensure food is produced according to quality, quantity, nutrition, appearance, temperature, and timeliness requirements
- follow HACCP procedures
- use standard food preparation equipment, utensils, and measuring devices appropriately
