Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED and or equivalent experience
- Minimum six months cook experience in restaurant, hospital, or institutional food service using standard equipment
- Must be able to grill, fry, roast and bake as needed
- Demonstrated ability to read, write and follow written and oral instructions in English

- Ability to read, write and follow written and oral instructions in English
- Culinary Arts Degree or AA in Institutional Food Preparation preferred
- Knowledge of hospital food service operations preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare conventional and convenience type foods following established procedures
- Use standard food preparation equipment such as grill, oven, and fryer
- Replenish food items as needed for tray line, cafeteria, and catering services
- Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of food service work areas and stations
- Sanitize cooking utensils and ensure proper washing and disposal
- Follow department safety and sanitation policies
- Procure or requisition food supplies according to guidelines
