Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
- Minimum six months cook experience in restaurant, hospital or institutional food service using standard equipment
- Must be able to grill, fry, roast and bake
- Demonstrated ability to read, write and follow written and oral instructions in English
- Ability to work on call with variable days and hours including every other weekend
- Compliance with Kaiser Permanente policies and Principles of Responsibility
- Maintain confidentiality and ethical behavior
- Support compliance initiatives
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience

- Demonstrated ability to read, write and follow instructions in English
- Knowledge of hospital food service operations preferred
- Culinary Arts Degree or AA in Institutional Food Preparation preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare conventional and convenience type food following established procedures
- Use preparation equipment such as grill, oven, and fryer
- Maintain sanitation of food service areas and stations
- Replenish food items as needed
- Clean and decontaminate patient care and work area stations
- Sanitize cooking utensils
- Follow Kaiser Permanente policies and applicable regulations
