Job Requirements
- Education and experience equivalent to at least five years of culinary experience in high-volume banquet, hotel/conference center, or fine dining restaurant
- Valid ServSAFE Food Handling Certificate
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Physical capability to stand for long periods, walk, bend, lift, carry, and maneuver weights up to 50+ lbs
- Reliable transportation for work and catering sites
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to work a minimum of six hours per shift with a standard eight-hour workday plus a 30-minute paid meal break
Job Qualifications
- Must have 5 years cooking experience in a high-volume banquet facility, hotel/conference center, or fine dining restaurant
- Demonstrated ability to prep a grill, saute, cook, and prepare sauces in a fast-paced environment
- Valid ServSAFE Food Handling Certificate
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Prepare, cook, and serve food for the Food Services department including Commissary, on/off-site locations, and special events
- Coordinate production across all stations in the Cafeteria, Avon Grill, and Fine Dining
- Monitor Second Cooks to ensure quality standards and procedures are followed
- Complete required forms and maintain equipment in good condition, reporting any malfunctions
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of stations at all times
