Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • ability to make high-volume outbound calls
  • strong communication and negotiation skills
  • sales experience preferred
  • self motivated and able to work independently
  • proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • ability to handle rejection
  • basic analytical skills
  • experience preferred in specialty chemical or fire protection industry
  • must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
  • ability to perform light to moderate lifting up to 25 pounds
  • ability to sit at a computer for extended periods
  • occasionally work in uncontrolled climate and outdoor conditions

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED required
  • excellent verbal communication and negotiation skills
  • sales experience preferred, especially in wholesale or telemarketing
  • self motivated with the ability to work independently and meet quotas
  • resilient and persistent, not afraid of rejection
  • proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • basic analytical skills to evaluate customer needs
  • experience in specialty chemical industry or reclaiming/reselling fire protection clean agents preferred
  • past experience in call center environment preferred
  • team player with a positive, solution-oriented mindset
  • exemplary customer service skills, responsiveness, and professionalism

Job Duties

  • support Fire Protection managers with strategies, leads, and dashboards to track projects and secure the purchase of halon gas
  • make high-volume outbound calls to leads and prospects to facilitate gas purchases and provide feedback to maintain monthly goals
  • provide professional and friendly service to customers in person, written, or verbal communication to promote A-Gas and ensure customer satisfaction
  • build rapport by matching programs to customer requirements by introducing them to A-Gas total solutions
  • maintain accurate records of calls, conversations, and lead status
  • respond to all internal and external customers with urgency and professionalism
  • cross-train in both inbound and outbound logistics along with customer service to support fire protection goals and strategies
  • work in accordance with all company policies relating to health and safety
  • perform other tasks as assigned
