Job Requirements
- must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
- light to moderate lifting may be required up to 25 pounds
- ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time
- occasionally identifies written information on cylinders such as serial numbers, manufacture date, etc.
- frequently operates a computer using a traditional keyboard to input detailed information such as serial numbers
- frequently communicates detailed information to others, must be able to exchange accurate information that others can understand
- occasionally works in environments with uncontrolled climate and exposure to outdoor weather conditions
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED required
- excellent verbal communication and negotiation skills
- sales experience preferred, especially wholesale or telemarketing
- self motivated with the ability to work independently and hit quotas
- resilient and persistent - not afraid of rejection
- proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- basic analytical skills necessary to evaluate customer needs
- past experience in specialty chemical industry or reclaiming/reselling Fire Protection Clean Agents
- past experience in call center environment preferred
- team player with a positive, solution-oriented mindset
- exemplary customer service skills, responsiveness, and professionalism
Job Duties
- support fire protection managers with strategies, leads, and dashboards to track projects and secure the purchase of halon gas
- make high-volume outbound calls to leads and prospects in hopes of gas purchase and provide feedback to maintain monthly goals
- provide a professional and friendly service to customers, whether face to face, written or verbal, in order to promote A-Gas in the marketplace and ensure customers enjoy doing business with A-Gas
- build rapport to match programs to customer requirements introducing them to A-Gas total solutions which will exceed their initial requirements
- maintain accurate records of calls, conversations, and lead status
- respond to all internal and external customers with urgency and professionalism
- cross-train in both inbound and outbound logistics along with customer service to support overall Fire Protection goals and strategies
- work in accordance with all company policies relating to health & safety
- other tasks as assigned
