Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in gel coat or paint repair preferred
- ability to operate grinders, sanders, buffers, and spray equipment
- physical ability to climb, stoop, kneel, reach, squat, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
- willingness to work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment
- ability to handle exposure to heat, cold, dust, fumes, and occasional outdoor conditions
- capability to safely handle materials like acetone, resin, fiberglass, putties, glues, and cleaners
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience with gel coat and/or paint repair preferred
- experience working with fiberglass or in auto body repair is a plus
- familiarity with mixing gel coats and/or paints with activators
- working knowledge of repair tools including sanders, buffers, and spray equipment
- strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Inspect parts and surfaces to identify required repairs
- repair gel coat surface defects such as scratches, voids, and surface distortion
- use grinders, sanders, buffers, drills, and other specialty tools to complete repairs
- mix and apply gel coat and/or resins in accordance with product specifications and safety guidelines
- perform spot gel coat spraying as needed
- follow all safety protocols, material handling procedures, and disposal guidelines
