Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years in fine dining service experience
  • Knowledge of Italian cuisine
  • Able to explain menu ingredients and preparation techniques
  • Must be able to speak, comprehend, read, and write English
  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Adherence to grooming and uniform standards
  • Courtesy to guests and coworkers
  • Knowledge of hotel services and local attractions
  • Familiarity with liquor brands, beers, and garnishes

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of fine dining service experience
  • Knowledge of Italian cuisine
  • Experience working in hotel environments preferred
  • High school diploma preferred
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to implement and uphold service standards
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations professionally
  • Proficient in English speaking, reading, and writing
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and motivational attitude

Job Duties

  • Greet guests and take food and beverage orders
  • Explain ingredients, preparation techniques, and available substitutions
  • Provide meal recommendations and wine pairing suggestions
  • Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests
  • Set tables according to service standards
  • Communicate guest dietary needs, allergies, and special requests to kitchen staff
  • Record transactions accurately in the InfoGenesis system
  • Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction throughout the meal
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including china and glassware
  • Complete closing duties such as restocking items and securing the area
  • Present accurate checks and process payments
  • Maintain professional appearance and adhere to uniform standards
  • Anticipate and address guest service needs proactively
  • Develop positive working relationships and support team goals
  • Adhere to quality expectations and FORBES standards
  • Move, lift, carry, and place objects up to 20 pounds safely
  • Thank guests sincerely and perform other supervisor-assigned duties
