Job Requirements

  • Must be of minimum legal age to serve alcohol according to state law
  • must provide Florida state approved Food Safety certification or complete Safestaff training within sixty days of hire
  • must be physically fit to lift, pull, and push items up to 50 pounds
  • ability to stand, walk, reach and bend throughout shift
  • ability to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends
  • must have professional demeanor appropriate for resort environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • one year of high-volume serving experience preferred
  • basic computer knowledge of POS systems such as Micros
  • food handling certificate
  • TIPS certificate
  • excellent eye for detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • effective listening and guest interaction skills
  • ability to communicate in English, second language a plus
  • knowledge of food handling policies, preparation, presentation, sanitation, and safety standards

Job Duties

  • Greet each guest promptly after seating in a warmly friendly manner using the guest's name
  • know the ingredients, preparation, and proper presentation of all menu items and specials ensuring every product delivered adheres to the highest quality
  • remain observant and check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and beverages
  • provide prompt, courteous, and efficient food and beverage service
  • make appropriate food and beverage suggestions
  • communicate with kitchen regarding menu questions, wait times, and product availability
  • know layout of restaurant and location of all equipment and supplies
  • know all restaurant station breakdowns and table numbers
  • set tables according to service standards
  • maintain cleanliness and condition of work areas and equipment
  • assist in maintaining standards of appearance, sanitation, and service in all areas of the restaurant
  • present physical and accurate check to guests and process payment
  • perform any other reasonable duties as required by management
