Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1-year fine dining serving experience
  • Must be TABC certified before date of hire
  • Knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer sales
  • Previous cash handling experience
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Ability to use MICROS system accurately
  • Ability to handle stress in a calm manner
  • Ability to work with co-workers
  • Ability to prioritize guest needs
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand and walk for entire shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-year fine dining serving experience, preferably in a steak house
  • Must be TABC certified before date of hire
  • Developed knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer with experience selling and presenting wines
  • Previous cash handling experience required
  • Ability to communicate clearly and pleasantly in English with guests, management and co-workers
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently input information into MICROS
  • Ability to handle stressful situations while maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanor
  • Ability to work cohesively with co-workers
  • Ability to prioritize and follow up on guest requests in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent customer service, service recovery and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Frequent bending, reaching overhead, twisting and consistent use of hands and arms required
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods in indoor/outdoor environments

Job Duties

  • Follow, enforce, comply and adhere to all Bob's Steak & Chop House rules, policies, procedures, standards and recipes
  • Greet guests with a pleasant smile and superior customer service
  • Set tables according to event type and service standards
  • Take orders and answer questions, offering suggestions on food and beverage selections and daily specials
  • Communicate with culinary team regarding meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs and special requests
  • Record transactions accurately in MICROS system and adhere to cash handling standards
  • Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each course and beverage
  • Present accurate check to guest and process payment
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day
  • Clean and set up tables including polishing water glasses before opening hours
  • Perform station set-up and breakdown and complete assigned side work
  • Be pleasant, smile, and greet guests, using surnames when obtained
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the restaurant manager
