Job Requirements

- prior experience in fine dining service preferred
- ability to communicate effectively
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
- ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- knowledge of food safety procedures
- willingness to comply with health and safety regulations

Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining food handling and sanitation standards
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
- advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks and accommodate reasonable requests
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate well with others
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisor
- ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service period
- operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea and soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
- work cooperatively with other departments during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
