Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Previous culinary training or vocational certifications preferred
  • Two years food production/preparation experience in a similar high-volume restaurant preferred
  • Previous food production/preparation experience in a three-diamond rated property or above (AAA Diamond rating) preferred
  • Ability to understand units of measurement and basic math skills preferred
  • Can maintain knowledge of menu items

Job Duties

  • Prepares meals and other food items according to assignment by the Specialty Sous Chef or Restaurant Chef at assigned saute, entree, wheel, salad/pantry, appetizer, or add-on fine dining stations in accordance with fine dining standards and guest requests
  • Works in an ala carte setting with the ability to monitor and control ticket flow and continuity of service
  • Uses recipes and a variety of kitchen equipment to roast, broil, saute, bake, boil, blanch, braise, fry, sear, and steam food to prepare and reheat soups, salads, sauces, dressings, and other food items
  • Plates meals or other food items in accordance with plate presentation specifications
  • Informs supervisor of any irregularities occurring within the food preparation operation
  • Maintains clean and sanitary work areas throughout the meal period or working shift
  • Maintains a constant awareness of safety and accident prevention, immediately notifying the supervisor and completing an accident report in the event an accident occurs
