Job Requirements

  • Advanced cooking skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of one year related experience
  • Achieve ServSafe certification within 90 days
  • Complete Culinary Academy within 12 months
  • Basic math skills
  • Maintain discretion with confidential information
  • Professional interaction with guests and team members
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours and extended shifts
  • Physical ability to perform all required duties including lifting and using personal protective equipment
  • Vision capabilities as specified

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to demonstrate advanced cooking skills is required
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • One year of related experience is required
  • Ability to successfully achieve ServSafe certification within 90 days
  • Ability to successfully complete Culinary Academy within 12 months
  • Ability to use basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and counting using whole numbers and fractions
  • Ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information
  • Ability to interact with guests and team members professionally
  • Ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to perform job duties including standing, sitting, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally with assistance
  • Must wear all required personal protective equipment while performing job duties
  • Specific vision abilities required including close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Job Duties

  • Perform intermediate to advanced food preparation and cooking duties including braising, blackening, and searing foods
  • Prepare noodles
  • Grill or wok cook
  • Act as a saucier to prepare sauces, stews, and made to order sautéed menu items
  • Use and clean kitchen surfaces, equipment, and utensils safely including ovens, grills, fryers, broilers, and knives
  • Ensure a safe, sanitary, and organized working environment working closely with stewards
  • Assist in training other members of the culinary team
  • Assist in storing and rotating all inventories as needed
  • Perform opening and closing duties as needed
  • Work in other kitchens and venues as assigned based on business needs
  • Perform job duties in full compliance with departmental internal controls, policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
