Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cooking experience in a professional kitchen
  • Ability to work weekdays including weekends
  • Capacity to follow strict food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift kitchen items
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Positive attitude and team player

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in scratch cooking
  • Experience in fine dining or country club cooking
  • Knowledge of dietary restrictions and modified diets preferred
  • Culinary education preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to follow sanitizing procedures
  • Strong desire to learn and improve culinary skills
  • Ability to prepare meals that are both tasty and visually appealing

Job Duties

  • Prepare high-quality meals from scratch for fine dining and resident care areas
  • Adhere to sanitary and food safety standards during all stages of food preparation
  • Manage dietary restrictions and prepare modified diets as required
  • Ensure meals are attractive and meet presentation standards
  • Collaborate with kitchen team to maintain efficiency and service quality
  • Monitor food inventory and assist with ordering supplies
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
