Job Requirements

  • basic food preparation skills
  • ability to follow safety and sanitation standards
  • physical ability to stand sit walk climb balance stoop kneel crouch and move frequently
  • ability to lift carry push pull or move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally with assistance
  • willingness to wear required personal protective equipment
  • ability to work in hot and cold kitchen environments
  • ability to handle foods with common allergens such as peanuts tree nuts eggs soy dairy seafood shellfish and gluten
  • flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
  • good communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 3 to 6 months of related cooking experience preferred
  • ability to successfully achieve ServSafe certification within 90 days
  • ability to successfully complete Culinary Academy within 12 months
  • ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information
  • ability to interact with guests and team members professionally
  • ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights early mornings weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • perform basic to intermediate food preparation and cooking duties including washing peeling cutting and measuring ingredients for use
  • prepare salads and cold foods
  • fry stock and batch cooking
  • assemble garnish and finalize presentation of completed dishes
  • use and clean kitchen surfaces equipment and utensils safely including ovens grills fryers broilers and knives
  • maintain a safe sanitary and organized work environment working closely with stewards
  • learn to perform more advanced kitchen and cooking duties and assist other members of the culinary team
  • assist in storing and rotating all inventories as needed
  • perform opening and closing duties as needed
  • work at other kitchens venues as assigned based on business needs and to gain knowledge
  • perform job duties in full compliance with departmental internal controls policies procedures and regulations
  • perform other duties as assigned
