Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- valid driver’s license
- certification in at least one VMS system
- certification in at least one structured cabling system
- minimum one year experience in installation or equivalent
- ability to pass background check and drug screening
- basic knowledge of networking principles
- basic knowledge of IP camera technology and controller hardware
- ability to terminate and test category and fiber optic cables
- basic knowledge of low voltage principles including ohm’s law and load calculations
- ability to read blueprints and specifications
- strong communication skills
- willingness to mentor others
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- valid driver’s license
- current certification in at least one Video Management System (VMS)
- current certification in at least one structured cabling system
- minimum one year experience as an installer or equivalent position
- ability to read and comprehend blueprints and line diagrams
- good communication skills with customers
- willingness and ability to mentor junior technicians
Job Duties
- Install structured cabling systems including copper, fiber, and low-voltage
- install network switches, wireless access points, and other IP devices
- install various CCTV systems including analog and IP cameras
- install Network Video Recorders and Video Management System platforms
- install cable pathway systems
- install, terminate, test, label, and document horizontal and backbone cables
- learn installation best practices from lead technicians
- work collaboratively with project managers, lead technicians, and other field technicians
- keep track of daily tasks and hours worked
- assist with clean-up
- participate in project commissioning and testing
- perform other duties as required
- learn new skills independently
