Job Requirements

  • Education level of Associate's degree or equivalent trade certification
  • minimum 1-3 years of direct experience in electrical or mechanical field service
  • ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electronic systems
  • strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • excellent customer service and communication skills
  • physical ability to lift and carry up to 80 lbs
  • confident operation of carts, hoists, davit cranes, pallet jacks or analogous devices
  • full body mobility
  • ability to work safely in environments involving industrial equipment
  • must pass federal background check for Sensitive Security Information access
  • ability to work overtime and flexible hours
  • must adhere to company health, safety and environmental policies

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or related trade certification in electrical, electronic, or mechanical fields
  • 1-3 years experience in troubleshooting and field repair of electrical and electronic systems
  • computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • excellent communication skills
  • strong customer focus and teamwork orientation
  • ability to respond promptly to customer issues
  • willingness and ability to travel at short notice
  • basic technical knowledge of Trace and X-Ray technologies

Job Duties

  • Meet daily service repair needs and drive customer satisfaction
  • install, repair and maintain equipment in the field
  • provide customer training as required
  • document all inspections, maintenance, and repair work and submit paperwork in a timely manner
  • order, install and return parts and manage repair parts cycle time
  • review all logs for open issues and prepare formal reports to customers as necessary
  • participate in service sales opportunities and assist with promoting and implementing revenue programs
  • ensure tools and test equipment are properly maintained and calibrated
  • assess product and equipment performance based on field support data and recommend modifications or improvements
  • provide technical support to customers and other service professionals
  • participate in site surveys, pilot program service activities, and meetings
  • maintain clear and concise business communication both oral and written
  • establish and maintain close relationships with senior FSEs and Product Managers
  • control and minimize costs
  • comply with company health, safety, and environmental policies
  • comply with U.S. export control and security regulations
  • other duties as required
