Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree or related trade certification
  • Minimum 1-3 years experience in field service electrical or electronic repair
  • Computer literacy including MS Office
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to travel frequently and at short notice
  • Ability to lift 80 lbs
  • Ability to push/pull 200 lbs
  • Ability to work in physically demanding environments
  • Successful completion of federal background investigation for Sensitive Security Information access
  • Compliance with health, safety and environmental policies
  • Ability to work overtime and non-standard hours
  • Must follow U.S. export control and security regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or related trade certification in electrical, electronic or mechanical fields
  • Military training in electrical, mechanical, or electronics is acceptable
  • 1-3 years of experience in troubleshooting and field repair of electrical and electronic systems
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Aptitude for learning specialized software programs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong customer focus and teamwork orientation
  • Ability to respond to customer issues promptly
  • Willingness and ability to travel at short notice
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and accountable
  • Strong telephone communication skills
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 80 lbs
  • Ability to push and pull up to 200 lbs
  • Ability to move and manipulate equipment up to 1000 lbs with assistance
  • Experience working safely in extreme environments

Job Duties

  • Responsible for meeting daily service repair needs and driving customer satisfaction
  • Installs, repairs and maintains equipment in the field
  • Provides customer training as required
  • Documents all inspections, maintenance, repair work and submits paperwork in a timely basis
  • Orders, installs, and returns parts and manages repair parts cycle time
  • Reviews all logs for open issues and prepares formal reports to customers as necessary
  • Participates in Service Sales opportunities and assists with promoting and implementing revenue programs
  • Ensures that tools and test equipment are properly maintained and calibrated
  • Assesses product/equipment performance based on field support data and recommends modifications or improvements
  • Provides technical support to customers and other service professionals as required
  • Participates in site surveys, pilot program service activities and attends meetings
  • Maintains clear and concise business communication, both oral and written
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with senior level FSEs and Product Managers
  • Exercises measures to control and minimize costs
  • Travels and works overtime or non-standard hours as required
  • Complies with Company health, safety and environmental policies
  • Complies with U.S. export control and security regulations
  • Performs other duties as required
