Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of work experience in related electrical or mechanical field service roles
- Basic technical knowledge of trace and X-ray technologies
- Ability to lift and carry up to 80 lbs
- Ability to push or pull up to 200 lbs
- Ability to move and manipulate equipment weighing up to 1000 lbs with assistance
- Ability to work in extreme environments and unusual positions
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Reliable and self-motivated
- Willingness to travel frequently and at short notice
- Ability to comply with company health, safety, and environmental policies
- Ability to comply with U.S. export control and security regulations
- Willingness to work overtime and non-standard hours
- Must pass federal background check and SSI vetting
Job Qualifications
- Associate's degree or related trade certification in electrical, electronic, or mechanical fields
- Military training in electrical, mechanical, or electronics considered equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience in troubleshooting and field repair of electrical and electronic systems and equipment
- Proficient computer literacy including MS Office Suite and ability to learn specialized software
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong customer focus and teamwork orientation
- Ability to travel at short notice
- Sensitive Security Information (SSI) access and successful completion of federal background investigation
- Experience working in dynamic and demanding environments
Job Duties
- Responsible for meeting daily service repair needs and driving customer satisfaction
- Installs, repairs and maintains equipment in the field
- Provides customer training as required
- Documents all inspections, maintenance, repair work and submits paperwork in a timely basis
- Orders, installs, and returns parts and manages repair parts cycle time
- Reviews all logs for open issues and prepares formal reports to customers as necessary
- Participates in service sales opportunities and assists with promoting and implementing revenue programs
- Ensures that tools and test equipment are properly maintained and calibrated
- Assesses product/equipment performance based on field support data and recommends modifications or improvements
- Seeks to provide technical support to customers and other service professionals as required
- May participate in site surveys, pilot program service activities, attend meetings
- Maintains clear and concise business communication, both oral and written
- Establishes and maintains a close relationship with senior level FSEs and Product Managers to support the needs of the customer
- Exercises every available measure to control and minimize costs
- Complies with company health, safety and environmental policies
- Complies with all applicable U.S. export control and security regulations
- Other duties as required
