Job Requirements

  • Must have four years of FAA or US Military operational ATC experience or combined FAA and US Military operational ATC experience
  • Must possess knowledge of computer hardware and operating system software similar to ATC Simulation Systems
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance
  • Certification for Remote Pilot Operations as required
  • Must be able to use simple hand tools
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Willingness to travel less than 20%
  • Ability to perform repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movement
  • No teleworking potential

Job Qualifications

  • Four years of FAA or US Military operational ATC experience or combined experience
  • Degree in Air Traffic Control or Air Traffic Management from AT-CTI approved schools
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and operating system software similar or more complex than ATC Simulation Systems
  • Certification for Remote Pilot Operations as required
  • Proactive and self-motivated
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Good organizational and prioritization skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well with others and resolve conflicts

Job Duties

  • Troubleshoot and maintain TSS hardware components
  • Fault isolate and replace displays, monitors, and computer equipment/peripherals
  • Troubleshoot, isolate, and resolve software problems
  • Perform step-by-step procedures for acquiring and installing software upgrades and patches
  • Evaluate local conditions and make proper decisions with Contractor’s TSSC
  • Load operating systems and applications as required
  • Update existing software and site data as needed
  • Perform start-up and shut-down procedures
  • Perform system back-up procedures
  • Train FAA personnel on TSS maintenance and operation
  • Operate TSS for proficiency, recurrent, and qualification training
  • Brief FAA and Contractor management on simulator performance and utilization
  • Develop and maintain site simulator utilization reports
  • Backup and manage scenario data
  • Act as a Pseudo Pilot simulating aircraft movement and communication
  • Develop tower simulation scenarios incorporating training objectives
  • Create scenarios at FAA requests with minimal assistance
  • Train personnel in scenario creation and maintenance
