Job Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of four years of FAA or US Military operational ATC experience or combined experience
  • or a degree in Air Traffic Control or Air Traffic Management from an AT-CTI approved college
  • certification requirements as required for Remote Pilot Operations
  • ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance
  • ability to use simple hand tools
  • occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
  • repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movement
  • less than 20 percent travel
  • no teleworking

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of computer hardware and operating system software similar or more complex than ATC Simulation Systems
  • minimum of four years of FAA or US Military operational ATC experience or combined experience or degree in Air Traffic Control or Air Traffic Management from AT-CTI
  • certification as required for Remote Pilot Operations

Job Duties

  • Troubleshoot and maintain TSS hardware components
  • fault isolate/replace displays/monitors and computer equipment/peripherals
  • troubleshoot, isolate, and resolve software problems
  • perform step-by-step procedures for acquiring and installing software upgrades and patches
  • evaluate local conditions and make decisions with the Contractor's TSSC
  • load operating systems and applications
  • update software and site data
  • perform start-up and shut-down procedures
  • perform system back-up procedures
  • train FAA personnel on TSS maintenance and operation
  • operate TSS for proficiency, recurrent, and qualification training
  • brief FAA and Contractor management on simulator performance and utilization
  • develop and maintain site simulator utilization reports
  • backup and manage scenario data
  • act as a Pseudo Pilot when needed
  • Tower Simulation Scenario development including building scenarios, incorporating training objectives, creating scenarios at FAA request, and training personnel in scenario maintenance
