Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years of sales experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or related field
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong knowledge of freight forwarding and supply chain solutions
- Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Availability for daily local travel and occasional overnight trips
Job Qualifications
- 4+ years of proven sales success in logistics, freight forwarding, specialized freight, or ground transportation
- Results-driven mindset with a record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth
- Highly organized and proactive with ability to manage multiple client interactions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to develop supply chain solutions
- Expertise in Salesforce for pipeline management and performance tracking
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required
Job Duties
- Build market position by locating, developing, defining and closing new business
- Arrange daily business development meetings with existing and prospective clients
- Become a subject matter expert on Maersk products and services and stay updated on industry news
- Meet weekly with local operations management and develop cooperative relationships with operations staff
- Develop growth strategy and set quotas to meet ambitious financial and profitability targets
- Follow up with new clients and facilitate seamless onboarding process
- Perform market research to identify new pipeline opportunities
- Present and demonstrate value of products and services to prospective buyers
- Utilize Salesforce to manage customer database, track KPIs and improve forecasting accuracy
- Exceed assigned revenue goals and pricing objectives
