Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in safety engineering or related field preferred
- One to three years of directly related experience in operations and safety required
- Proven analytical and leadership skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to lead and develop others to achieve results and budgets
- Understanding of OSHA, FDA, USDA, EPA and relevant state regulations
- Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications

Job Duties
- Supervise and ensure compliance with Company ramp and employee safety initiatives
- Partner with CSC Leadership regarding employee safety issues involving OSHA, FAA, EPA, DOT, and state agencies
- Coordinate ramp/employee safety initiatives and measurement systems as set by company and customer
- Regularly train employees on all Employee Safety and Ramp Safety SOPs
- Supervise daily area/department activities in the CSC
- Conduct monthly Safety meetings
- Coordinate and ensure that all Accidents are investigated and corrective/preventive action is implemented and sustained
- Partner with CSC Leadership to ensure Audit Readiness
- Provide effective leadership
- Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed
- Guide, motivate and develop subordinate employees within Human Resources Policy
- Participate in coaching the expanded Global Performance System (GPS) process and career development activities
- Make the company’s values and management principles live in the department(s)
- Participate and support company sponsored initiatives such as GQS, HACCP, Lean Manufacturing, Employee Safety and CBase
