Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in safety engineering or related field preferred
  • one to three years of directly related experience in operations and safety required
  • proven analytical and leadership skills
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to develop and lead others to obtain desired results and achieve budget
  • understanding and applicability of governmental regulations such as OSHA, FDA, USDA, and EPA regulations as well as applicable state agencies
  • excellent verbal, written and organizational skills combined with an aptitude for multi-tasking
  • good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications

Job Duties

  • Supervise and ensure compliance with company ramp and employee safety initiatives
  • partner with CSC leadership regarding employee safety issues including OSHA, FAA, EPA, DOT, and state agencies
  • coordinate ramp and employee safety initiatives and appropriate measurement systems
  • regularly train employees on all employee safety and ramp safety SOPs
  • supervise daily area and department activities in the CSC
  • conduct monthly safety meetings
  • coordinate and ensure that all accidents are investigated and corrective or preventive actions are implemented and sustained
